SIGCHI.NL conference program announced, time to get to work

This week the SIGCHI.NL conference team announced the program for this year's conference, themed "HCI Close to You". I am happy to see two international speakers in the keynote line-up: Eric Reiss and Thomas Vander Wal will present their ideas around how to design interactive systems for intense, personal use.

Of course I am also pleased to have been selected to give a workshop "Introduction to User-Centered Design" to parts of the audience! This year, the conference tries to attract representatives from small and medium-sized enterprises (SME, or MKB in Dutch, for Midden- en KleinBedrijf) and I expect to see a lot of them in my corner of the conference venue.
I now have a chance to re-use some of the slides from the "UX for Non-UX" presentation that I developed in 2004 while at EzGov but only gave once, mixed with the old "Insights in Usability" presentation I gave for students in Utrecht in 2003. I've already started adapting those slides to the new corporate design. But in the process I have already started changing things, including new knowledge, insights, and terminology. I am beginning to appreciate the fact that some speakers ask for a fee for this work...

Anyway, the registration page isn't online yet, so I am going to have to get back to this subject later :-)

Update: (september 8) Registration is open! See the relevant enty in the conference program for the link to the registration site.

The real reason of course is that I haven't had time to submit my T-Model proposal yet... it's been a busy week.
